Eason started his collegiate career at Georgia in 2016, where he threw 16 touchdowns in 13 games as a true freshman. A knee injury the following season paved the way for Jake Fromm to start in Athens, and Eason transferred to Washington. The former five-star recruit started for the Huskies once he regained eligibility in 2019. His 3,132 yards and 23 touchdowns were both career highs and top-six marks on the program's single-season record books. Eason was drafted 122nd overall by the Indianapolis Colts and made his NFL debut in relief of an injured Carson Wentz in 2021, completing two of five attempts for 25 yards. Eason was waived the following month but claimed Seattle, where he'll battle Geno Smith and Drew Lock to start for the post-Russell Wilson era Seahawks.
